Starting from the end of 2016, Zhou Shanhong invested in the establishment of Manyuan Red Zanthoxylum Agricultural Cooperative in Manding Village, Laomiao Town, Fuping County, Shaanxi Province, to promote the expansion of local pepper planting to 1000 mu in the form of "cooperative industrial farmers". Another 4 million yuan was invested to build a pepper drying plant and an oil refinery, which realized the local deep processing of pepper and other agricultural products and gave birth to a pepper characteristic industrial chain. This not only solves the problem of farmers picking prickly ash "looking at the sky to harvest", but also increases the income of prickly ash planting by 1500 yuan per mu. By 2018, all the poor households in Manmachi Village will be lifted out of poverty and every household will have built new houses. In addition, the cooperative has also radiated outward, driving more than 2000 poor people in surrounding villages and towns to increase their income and get rid of poverty.
